Motivation goes up and down. It’s normal, especially when you are an entrepreneur.
Don’t blame yourself when you’re at the trough, because it’s not your fault. You’re just a human being. How can a person stay motivated all the time when he needs to deal with hundreds of thousands of things every day?
Some people will interpret the downtime as personal laziness, inability, and even a failure! No, it’s completely wrong. A downtime is only a signal to remind you that it’s time to take some rest and restrategize.
At this moment, what you need is taking a short break, because –
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes…Including you.” – Anne Lamott
During your rest time, negative thoughts may come out. They may say: No more dreaming, it doesn’t work!
Hey! Don’t believe them, because –
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney
If you still have doubts on that, then –
“Remember why you started.” – Anonymous
Sometimes, you may think that you’ve already worked for 365 days, why the day of success still hasn’t arrived? Hold on –
“Don’t count the days, make the days count.” – Muhammad Ali
Also –
“Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier
Now is the time to say “Stop!” to those negative thoughts. Don’t let them control you! Your dream is still there waiting for you!
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale
And –
“A year from now you may wish you had started today.” – Karen Lamb
Motivation frustrates all the time, and it’s normal. What you need to do is live with it.
Go faster and farther when you’re highly motivated, and walk slower and rest more when you’re in the downtime.
However, if you find it difficult to get out of the downtime, go and get help immediately. Please remember, you’re never alone!
Hello, i read your blog occasionally and i
own a similar one and i was just wondering if you
get a lot of spam remarks? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can recommend?
I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any
support is very much appreciated.
Hello, thanks for coming by. Since my website is still new, I don’t have too much spam message currently, but I agreed that it’s really irritating for being spammed all the time. I heard that some plugins, e.g. Akismet, are quite effective to reduce spams, and you may try that.
Also, spam messages always contain a lot of links, and you may try to modify your WordPress setting (Settings –> Discussion –> Comment Moderation) to limit the number of links allowed in each post to 1 (default setting is 2), and see if this helps.
Besides, you may try not to let those spams appear in your website by using the setting of “comment must be manually approved” (Settings –> Discussion –> Before a comment appears). Well, you may still go crazy when you’ve got many comments a day, but at least, this action can help avoid these spams affecting your valuable and useful comments showing up.
If you need further help, please let me know, and I’m always happy to give you a hand. Cheers!
